Site notes: moving sand on Texel
Burying a building means moving the dune twice: once to build, once to put it back.

Before we poured anything on Texel, we photographed the dune from forty fixed points so that we could rebuild its profile afterwards.
The marram grass was lifted in clumps, stored in the lee of the dune, and replanted by hand in October.
Two years on, only the slot and the roof edge are visible. That was the brief.
